woots! I have finally bought my external flash unit~ (now $630 poorer again) I just couldnt stand myself to hate my camera when doing night shots.. and boy do i look forward to more night shoots after yesterday man! Bought it kinda on impulse (probably due to unproductive studying AGAIN) but also coz was our 2nd class outing for 2008 for my JC class of 2S04~~ hahaa we met at marche for dinner before heading to Pacific Coffee company to chill~ i was expecting the gals to be more talkative as they were quite interested to find out more about our 2 recently attached male counterparts~ but somehow they become more shy when they are in a group~ *shrugs* haha in the end the 2 were tight-lipped and so had some boring moments~ but still it was great to meet up again and photo shooting fun with my new flash!
and yup with my final BIG purchase done~ My camera gear is finally complete! (previously is lens collection) so now i'm opening up to take up freelance assignments~ still have yet to put up a portfolio but I will like to take up paid/TFCD assignments yup! wah busy busy! boy time flies! its already friday! OH MY GAWDDD... havent even posted my adventures during this 'recess week'... yeah i guess i'm the last person you'll expect to see using the inverted commas in recess week given all the fun and outings i've had thus far! but well at least i'm mugging now! (ok at this point of time not mugging since i'm blogging! duh~~) after my work as the GSK promoter i really had this good feel about me as many of those i promoted to really commented me for my earnest attitude and professional way of promoting the product.. even the staff from guardian was chatting with me and saying i'll make a wonderful salesman... they had a GSK promotion in may too but the promoter was so dull so sales were bad... lets say I exceeded the sales target by 368%? hahaa cool eh!
so monday i went to the far west to meet my freshies for a long needed OG outing~ we met at JEC to ice skate! was my first time so had my fair amount of air time (you've gotta be in the air before you fall flat on your buttocks eh!) its about the same time i realised my K850i LCD screen has died on me, so i tried in vain to take potshots blindly.. unfortunately the photos all turned out underexposed, super blur or even misaimed... so sadly got no pictures to show my great adventure.. its alot easier than roller blading (i feel) since i pretty much got the hang of it faster and was going around the ring~ after that we went to play pool before having pizza hut dinner and heading to sarah's house to chit chat before heading home~
wah shagged huhz... so i woke up late on tuesday so there goes my study plans! hahaa by the time i realised it, i had to head to orchard to meet junwei to go to the botanic gardens to shoot! also i decided to head to wisma to get send in my HP for servicing and this time the queue was really short and the staff very friendly, so I couldnt summount the anger to voice out my frustration with my SE phone... I'll NEVER BUY A SONY ERICSSON PHONE EVER AGAIN! she even asked me if i wanted to extend my warranty by paying $68.. with one more year into my contract~ i guess i have no choice? damn SE... after that i met jw at borders and we had a long walk to botanic gardens where we shot swans, insects, plants, trees, flowers and people~ was really fun as the air was fresh and like a mini Eden with all that greenery~ its a welcome change from NEL-NUS-Home all the time~ =D
After that I walked out of botanic gardens and found myself in some ulu part of singapore called Cluny road with no idea where's dempsey hill... so i randomly walked for about 5km before seeing civilization again near gleneagles hospital and then heading to the bus stop and found dempsey hill~ its a pretty different place with pubs, posh restaurants etc... i went to House, Barracks, this social hangout place, a combination of spa/restaurant/bar etc... after waiting for an hour or so, the greenies finally came and we had a pretty good dinner and deserts after at Ben & Jerry's to cerebrate xunbin's bdae~ Happy 21st Birthday gal!
ok... Wednesday is the day i start mugging! or so i thought~ likewise history repeated itself as i woke up late and headed to city hall and then supreme court for the tour organised by the GEK1542 forensic science peeps~ the new supreme court is GLASS GLASS GLASS~ really like the architecture but I gotta say the courtrooms seems alot smaller and less majestic than i thought~ but well at least I can now say i've been to real courtrooms and the court of appeal (highest court in singapore!).. we even sat in for a court hearing about the 'ever-popular' raffles town club... the judge was like damn cool lar! like a lecturer teaching the councils how to be lawyers and being relaxed at the same time! cool! after that i brought the typically lost pamela to central where she was gonna meet raf for dinner... didn't feel like going back so early so went starbucks to chill then later raf was saying its fine if i join them for dinner~ for after the nice marutama ramen dinner and alittle shopping i politely left for their hot date~ hahaa~ got home, play game.. opps! so late already~ there goes wednesday~
and today is thursday! (actually its friday now technically) and i've only covered 3 lectures of one module! oh my tian! ok at least now my Crisis Management Center is set up and operational! with my lecture notes nicely laid out, laptop set up, stationary prepared and tonnes of coffee and red bull to last me out.. the war has begun~~ but well as usual im distracted with MSN whom totally hates me (keeps disconnecting and closing windows)... like what i said to pam.. I can't divorce MSN... coz alas, it is like women... hate them... but can't live without them~ *shrugs* hahaa~! (I'm joking of course! I'm straight)
ok thats it for my blogging break! back to work! TimeCheck: 2.21am!
oh yah! saw this super nice bag at porter on tuesday but it costs $360! oh my god... nice black messenger bag with orange insides (ORANGE!! OMG!! ITS ORANGE!!!) so i totally fell in love with it... but after days of cutting my wrists I finally decide to not get it since i have no need for it... sigh.... can't find the online actual one.. but it looks something like this...

woots! just came back from work today~ its my first time working as a promoter... its a part time event job over this weekend for GlaxoSmith Klein or GSK... you life science ppl better remember this name! hahaa... its the maker for lots of pharmaceutical products like actified and more yeah! even food products!! hahaa scary man.. maybe i'll work there after i grad.. hehz~ so im based at tampines mall promoting BreathRight... saw that ad about this snoring guy? yup thats it! it works by expanding the nasal valves through a mechanical spring effect found in the plaster... so no drugs = no allergies = no side effect... its really simple in theory really!
most importantly, it works! haaa i always wheeze alot in the morning so i gave it a try and i feel alot more comfortable as it relieves nasal congestion (block nose)... wanted to test its effectiveness so i gave it to my dad who always snores.. and the next day, both my dad and thankful mom wanted to buy it too! hahaaa so come on down to tampines mall tml from 12nn to 9pm and find me yeah! can get it at discounted prices!! =D last day le!!! can buy for your family too!! don't miss it out! =D

woots the pictures for the Nike+ Run are up! haha but the ones taken by the Nike+ Photographers was like a mass picture at the end line... so looked at sportsphotox and was surprised they managed to catch me.. been contemplating whether sound get it but the price of $15 for a 4R is a serious turn off... its the same cost of me running for the Run for Hope in October!!! too bad I'm a poor university student... kudos for the photographers (whose name cant be found AS USUAL)!!
I realised I'm really lucky to get shots of me taken in both AHM (2 somemore by 2 diff photog!!) and Nike run by the sportsphotox ppl as well as one on the official nike+ run picture archives... some of my frenz can't find a single pic of them for both events! haha lesson learnt: 1. wear asics white striking running shorts (notice 1st picture!! odd colour out! haha) 2. show your number tag prominently!! (dont block it!!)

wahh today having SEP woes man... spent 24hrs looking at one university's website and only managed to map one module! omg... i'm so brainfried.... today also went for my first dental cleaning in eons and got drilled really bad by the dentists... (not her fault).. realised how uneducated i am in terms of dental health and went home to google and wiki it to learn more~ hahaa
also went to collect my race pack for the Run for Hope race in october! went to orchard mrt and took a walk to the part of orchard i never been before and was quite 'wow-ed' by the nice glass buildings and all beyond wheelock place... went to regent hotel which looked very lok cock outside but was super prestigious inside (cannot judge a book by its cover!) only to realise the registration booth was sadly located outside facing the driveway... the registration guy was like totally bored but he was very well manner-ed and polite in assisting me in the collection... its all for charity yah for the cancer research!! heard of people who run this event yearly to honour people they know who have lost their lives to cancer... so do join in!
