wahhh.... its this kinda days then i think of daniel powters song.. "i had a bad day!!" hahaa well today i was having an immersive action movie dream when i woke up i felt the sun rays basking on me... wah shiok right... then i suddenly think 'eh? sun? today sunday ar??" then the rush of image of my weekend flies past and i get up starting my day with a big nice F****!!! wooot!!
so i pretty much took a quick shower, shoved my laptop and notes into my bag and out i went... reminscent of my starhub days i was squeezing like pancakes with the business class (oxymoron indeed) from sengkang all the way to harbourfront.. faster took a bus and had a mini jam outside NUS.. was to do my tutorial registration for gen physio by 9am but then cant access till i got into school.. thankfully it was also delayed so i manged to get the slot i wanted...
school went by pretty ok.. just that i missed my stats lecture at 8am which i had trouble reading from the 'malnourished' notes that left more question marks in my head then 'wahhh's crap man... need to get some smart guy to lecture me on the lecture... had my first tutorial today and got a know a few more new people... its funny how friendly some guys can be... though we might not meet again in tutorials also had a nice chat and shaking of hands but also nv get any contact.. oh wells..
later on went to library to study alittle as well as to do my stats tutorial... think tml onwards im gonna go to schol taking train to harbourfront and take bus instead.. walking distance more but is about 20mins faster.. somemore more ex on the bus fare wise... sad-ed.. think the long term solution is to stay at my aunts house.. but also abit shy to ask.. maybe after my concession pass expire then i ask ba..
on my way back with free time i was thinking how come i overslept.. really rare occasion for me... had a SLIGHT feeling that i woke up to off the alarm then thinking i can get a 10min nap went back to sleep.. hahaa.. actually yesterday was a full day out too.. went to pray in the morning before going to my uncles house at thomsom 800 to kill time.. later on went to macritchie with my team to paddle.. was really tiring and even capsized.. later on we went on to siglap to this place called blooie's roadhouse for dinner... food was quite nice but the drinks were damn expensive and the service s***ed totally.. on the cab ride back i was tired i wanted to KO...

yesterday was also to cerebrate monica's bdae.. initially we planned to give her a surprise to blindfold her and bring her to a salon to get her hair rebonded courtesy of our batch but due to time constraints we packed a red packet for her instead to get her hair done in her own time... so sad.. gonna fly back tml again.. oh wells.. gambatte monica!! and tanjoubi ommedetoh!! =D

i gotta say lifes been pretty tiring and hectic at the same time recently explaining the lack of posts of late... one of the biggest reasons being the travel time back and forth from school.. 1hr30min daily.. i've been sleeping near to 12mn and waking up at 5.30am daily... its also quite surprising how the week is about to come to a close already... stress isnt too much to take.. but its just the self doubt that the worst has yet to come...
lectures were qim as usual with myself still having difficulties getting used to having 2hrs of lectures... kinda surprising how i used to just sleep in 1hr lectres back in JC but still can survive for the 2hrs lecture we have in uni... most of the time my full attention is for the 1st 1hr 30min.. after that whatever is said always drifts outta my mind.. which causes me extra trouble to have to read the lecture notes over and over to understand too..
CCA-wise i actually went down for the canoe polo training on tuesday as a try out with weiliang and amanda... the only prob was the training was at 8.30pm so after doing my weekly tuesday swim in the afternoon i was perpetually wasting time away.. did some studying with my og mates at the library till saturation point so i was just wasting time away at the lounge etc till 8.30pm.. canoe polo is quite a fun sport but i wouldnt picture myself taking it as a compeitive sports due to the techniques and maneuver.. haha im the 'heng chong zi zuang' type.. haha rather rush against time then play tactics and all... moreover the training ended at 11pm.. like i stay sengkang lar!! omg..
so i guess in the end fate has decreed that i dont join any ccas since its 1. not compulsory, 2. their training sessions will drain me ALOT (coupled with long travelling time) in the end i also didnt manage to see the capoeira session or go down to the leisure canoeing welcome tea due to different committments.. haiz.. guess my life is already pretty messed up as it is.. dont wish to add more disorder less i reach entropy.. hahaa..
the dreaded tutorials has finally hit us with full force so i guess my weekend i gotta do my tutorials so that i may be able to fully enjoy my day out tml with my canoes instead of stressing over tutorials and all.. recently i've been tempted to eat lots and lots of food.. haha scared i getting fat.. or maybe coz when i use my brain i consume more energy?? haha guess i'll follow my tummy for now.. see if i gain weight anot.. >.<
last night had some free time so i wanted to ask my classmates out for dinner seeing as to how long it has been since we last met.. sadly almost all of them were already booked(other frenz bdaes) abit sad but at least they were nice and kind to reply.. but the worst was those that gave lame replies.. reasons like: busy must study!! gonna be delayed!! the meeting time was 7pm.. i was dismissed late at 6.20pm (supposed to be 6pm) but i still made the effort to rush down.. truthfully its all in heart i guess... but the terrible ones are those who dont even bother to reply... its almost like they can 'block' my contact or 'delete' my contact... hate those m*******ers... i guess its the last straw.. next time it happens im so gonna flame them...
despite my frustration i was in a pretty much good mood yesterday as the weekend was finally here.. so i met up with hao yi and weiling for dinner at pongol nasi lemak before walking ard heartland mall to shop alittle.. then even fabian who had jap lessons till 8pm plus still made the effort to come to kovan from tanjong pagar to have dinner and talk cock with us.. was really fun talking about our new lives and reminiscent of our old days in SRJC... though the quantities of people who come out dont really matter to me nowadays.. its the quality and the sincerity of friendship i hold with the ones who bother to reply that keeps me going... Thanks alot pals!!

woohoo! yesterday went to school at 2pm amidst passing showers for my first NUS practical... its truly a day of many firsts as 1. outfield trip 2. learn about biodiversity (i learnt the name of the leaf i used to **** before! its call sapoh air.. hahaa) 3. CA number 1!! the biggest shocker was the last point as i heard they will have assessments after every practical but i didnt expect them to have it on the very first practical as well!! but thankfully it aint a very hard test though only 12min long when alot of people didnt even finish the paper, after going thru the paper i'm pretty sure i ALMOST got them all correct.. stressed man... gotta pay 101% attention for future practicals liao!!
the practical ended later than expected at 6pm exactly so as i figured out my way to get to my aunts house i realised it was already almost 7pm... i was actually intending to drop my stuff at my aunts house, go to SRC for capoeira lesson then go to holland village to meet up with my 1s10'03 buddies to commemorate huiyings bdae!! sadly.. i realised again in my life that i was trying too hard to juggle too many things in life.. so i actually felt really sad but i decided to give the capoeira lesson a miss... so instead i washed up alittle at my aunts place (which is along pasir panjang road) then i headed to 'holland village'.. why the ''? coz i have NEVER been there before so i ASSUMED that the one next to buona vista was the one!!
so i ended up walking around the holland drive (which i came to learn later) and when i couldnt find the cold storage that huiying quoted.. i realised i was DAMN lost.. haha.. thankfully at the bus stop i realised holland v is another 2 bus stops away and by a stroke of luck i knocked into jian yi at the bus stop and he directed me to walk to holland v... hengz sia... when i got ther i was pretty fascinated with the place as it was very unique and didnt give the usual 'singapore' feel.. almost close to the feeling i had in melbourne with its own style of cafes, sidewalks etc.. it was a restaurant, cafe and lifestyle centre.. was darn cool that i just killed time exploring the place and marking down the diff restaurants and cafes that i could visit in the future!
later on met up with hui ying, vincent and kai jie and we had a prestine dinner at Sushi Tei... was my first time there but not my first in a high class restaurant.. so we ordered some dishes notable the dragon roll and the kaminabe.. the roll was damn nice wit avogardo (which i dont understand why they put it when its tasteless) and the prawn filling that was heavenly.. the kaminabewas a hot pot and was damn nice lar!! it seemed like kimchi minus the sour feel so it was almost perfecte with us licking off the last drops off the hot pot!! woot!! after that vincent was still hungry so we had supper at the nearby foodcourt!! char kuay teow and ou luat!! shiok!! passed huiying the forever friends bear that i was carrying all over the world finally as her present.. hahaa.. phew... big presents are alot of work lorz..

after that went home and slept about 12mn at my aunts place before hitching a ride on my uncles car to kent ridge park for the Run NUS event.. met up with familar faces nigel, shun hua then joined by fabian and jun kok.. but coz we registered at different times we ended up on different waves... it was kinda slow at the start with alot of delays as the officials waiting for the competitors to form up before flagging off... instead they should just set the time and just start off lor.. i was in the NUS Mens Compeitive 10km run 1st wave 2nd group... at first at start off the guys were runnig quite fast probably to break out the trailers and the leaders.. so i kept pace with this bunch of guys running at medium speed..
felt really tired at the 2km mark as they seemed too fast for my training speed.. so i broke off and started running at my own pace.. did some overtaking and being overtaken.. haha the slopes of nus was murder though.. first the one going towards UCC then the slope near YIH... those slopes i still managed to jog.. after that hit the south buona vista road infamous for its many winding roads.. as it was the last 2km i on my nitrous and was striding alot that almost felt like i was running at 2.4km speed that kind.. hahaa maybe coz that part alot of people.. some from previous waves and the runners from mass run so got more motivation and peer pressure to outrace each other last part one of the guys i overtook and motivated returned the favour so we pressured each other to sprint the last part!! hahaa finally completed!!

hahaa ok lar.. not like those top atheletes or anything but its a big improvement for me.. both coz of the frenz i know are running around me and the motivation and compeititive feel.. compared to my own running conditioning training when i ran up to 10km in 50min.. about 10min per 2km.. but my build up was 10km for 59min.. so i was pretty surprised by a 12min improvement.. hahaa.. felt damn tired but also satisfied and thirsting for more runs!! =pPP later on met with my survivor OG people participating in the adventure trail.. but to my horror it started pouring like mad... kinda pity those in the mass run... all stuck in the heavy downpour... the water on the ground was so high it seeped into my shoe!! GROSS!! after like 1hr of waiting and the rain not getting any smaller we went to the carnival to spend our game coupons where they won quite a few prizes then we headed back to NUS!!

the guys, me jeremy and jackie went to src to change as the ladies went to RV to change to slippers and off we went to clementi for lunch cum Kbox session!! hahaa as expected the choir huiling was good at singing.. but jackie and do werent that bad too!! impressed.. haha for ppl like me who sing below averagely after some 'high' songs my voice was distorted le so cannot sing le... haha zhao sia lor.... hung around till 4.30pm before had to leave to prepare for the canoe dinner.. felt abit hesitatant as we were going to start the enthu songs but well.. priorities priorities and decisions... damn.. why must all decisions be painful one way or another...

the canoe dinner this time was at yio chu kang grassroots club.. booked a studio to have the event.. as usual was the traditional handover and the typical cam whore sessions.. felt nostalgic back to my J2 days as well but this time my batch had marcus weiliang and liang kiat so was alittle sad as we didnt get to camera whore much.. hahaa... this batch is one of biggest so far that even requires a female captain to manage the sheer size... i can see its this way due to the wonderful cohesion and bonding they share thru all the cohesive activitives that they have had when they shared their videos with us... its great to see them so close but the question remains... will they be strong enough to beat the currents? to outrace others in canoeing? the best is yet to come.. i kinda like the captains speech last part.. 30 canoeists, 1 team, 1 spirit.. nothing new but its nice to hear it from the juniors... makes me all worked up for alumni as well!!

recently i felt that my pants and boardshorts seem very loose.. so much so i gotta put on a belt.. almost 40% of my pants cant hold out without belt anymore!! omg.. so curiously i went to weigh myself and boy was i glad.. now im 56kg!! hahaa.. my weight fluctuates all the time but now its close to my ideal weight of 55kg!! must jia you!! woohoo!! (but also means i might need to get new jeans!! sobzz) ohs!! and it seems another of my ex classmate has left the bachelor club!! congrats to alvin!! hahaaa ever the lady's man now can settle down in peace le... lolx

woot! just ran 12km.. hahaa finally cleared that hurdle... was DAMN shagged lar... i was running at a 10.15km/hr speed lidat.. haha more like JOG ba... figured should run abit more as though my route has slopes it cant be compared with NUS.. its a freaking RIDGE lei... RIDGE!! zomg.. hahaa during the last round (2km) halfway thru this middle aged guy 'cut' into my lane with about 100m headstart.. though i was damn shagged liao i decided to outrun him.. damn funny.. when he hear me closing up he keeps speeding up.. wtf sia.. hahaa after like 5min when i was really gonna faint but right behind his back le.. he veer off to the traffic light! haha damn it.. didnt get the sweet taste of overtaking him.. grrr
today had 2 lectures, stats and chem... stats was pretty ok... but chem i was clueless as usual... so on my way home i mugged the notes.. breaking down the words one by one.. after 3 tries then finally understand.. haha can see how 'expired' my brain cells are lar!! damnit... after the lecture went to meet fabby and kiat loong for lunch.. went to fass first but too damn crowded so ate at biz canteen... later went to the sports bazaar which was a total letdown before i left for home..
really NUS got ALOT of gals.. hahaa.. feels so diff from JC life man.. hahaa... but like what may said.. NUS alot of mei nus.. but lacking of yandaos... sadly i dont believe i contribute to that figure.. hahaa... but i gotta agree with her ba... i'll feel sad if im a gal... not much guys to choose from... guess gotta rely on seniors le.. hahaa.. was fun exploring ard man.. so many places yet to explore.. hahaa... plus all the hooha about balloting for tutorials nowadays... life in NUS really is fun man..
its kinda stressful actually when i was reading the forums... the stark contrast in intelligence of those who contribute to the forum... i found reading the forums even more informative than the lecture... and the contributors are all students like me! its a real culture shock really.. compared to the schooling methods i have been familar with in jc or sec sch... so this is what it means to be in a university... finally tml i dont have to wake up at 530hrs again.. so can spend some time in the morning mugging before going for my first bio pratical... outfield!! haha..
alot of activities planned this week.. in fact too many that i have to forgo many others... theres capoeira lesson tml at 630pm.. still gotta meet up with my frenz at holland v at 8pm.. then saturday morning is my 10km run... then followed by lunch with my og... then at night theres the canoeing farewell dinner.. hahaa... activities i had to miss out: canoe camp(leisure), first canoeing training(compeitive).. sad-ed..

ITS WEDNESDAY!! and wesnesdays are... MAMBO NIGHT!!! wooHoo!! hahaa... i WOULD have been that high about 1 or 2 years ago ba... but sigh.. as im sworn to abstinance "so far".. hahaa... wednesdays arent that great are they? =P ohh nos.. it also means i have completed 3 days of lectures and tutorials!! wooT... hmm.. lemme recall.. basically the lectures were a mix of boring ones, funny ones and too qim ones.. hahaa in fact my very 1st lecture was only 30min with the lecturer introducing himself and the topic.. what a start!!
spent LOTS of ink printing the lecture notes lorz.. the lecturers sure know how to create hundreds of slides.. hahaa.. also bought my office 2007 from school!! compared to the same suit outside i save $500 leiz!! omG.. i LOVE IT COOP!! was quite fun walking ard lecture halls and taking the shuttle bus and exploring the campus with my free time.. even went for a swim today!! the pool rox lar!! so clean + no kids to disturb my swim.. haha.. but omg.. my skin is peeling from sentosa lar... grrr.. so irritating...
RUN NUS! 10km horizontal.. (god knows the vertical distance!! >.<)
3 more days to run nus!! manz.. packing my schedule like mad manz... friday got nature walk.. then got 2hr capoeira intro lesson.. then got huiying's bdae cerebration.. next day got run nus.. then got og outing (?) then at night got canoe farewell.. hahaa.. so tiring lorz... somemore tml got sports bazaar.. im very keen to try all sorts of sports and maybe some dance related ccas to see if i can learn new stuff!! hahaa well.. im beginning to really feel that i am a jack of all trades but master at none.. oh wells.. but at least i can proudly say i taken a bigger pie of the world or life!! =]

hahaa its quite a bad habit really... slept a total of 15hrs today... >.< went to school again on friday.. did some rehearsals for the talent night before we did it late at night... our og didnt win best og in the end but the collective effofrts of the OGs helped my house arena win best house!! woohoo~ shiok!! after that we had a mini clubbing session in the LT32.. haha playing music from youtube and whacking the speakers.. was damn refreshing and fun too.. hahaa.. was weird how we can get high without a drop of alcohoL!! =P who says sci people are all muggers!! =P
after that rag asked for 30 volunteers to help move the floats for rag day.. was really saddening as no one volunteered save for the best OG and the guys from my OG... its like just becoz they nv win best house they all lose all reason to do anything for the sci fac anymore.. haiz... at first even i was quite sour as it spoiled our plans for our OG to have a fun time as our last night together to play games and all... so we spent a considerable amount of time listening to the rag person try desperately to explain to us what to do plus the simulations..
was quite irritated as it was pretty simple though last min but thankfuly about 2am it ended so our og met up at NUH for supper agin before heading back to the tutorial room to play games etc.. after some card games we played truth, truth and more truth. haha so much for truth or dare lar!! shared our 'deepest darkest secrets' hahaaa too bad not the whole og was around.. missed out the fun!! after that the few people still up used my lappy to play youtube vids and have a mini kbox session!! hahaa cool or not!! =D
slept at 7am and woke up at 8am before going to wee siongs residence at Ridge view to shower.. was utterly shocked at the building and the common toilet.. its worst than any army camp lar!! omg... dirty.. got that spider web feeling.. the rooms were decent but the entirety was like.. omg.. cant imagine its part of nus.. after that went for breakfast and headed off to padang.. spent alot of time waiting as expected.. (we were there at 10am, event starts at 3pm) so i took the chance to catch up on sleep... did some moving of the float (mine was the rear block called peacock) and as we slowly moved to our position we became quite high and excited... hahaa.. cant describe all the stupid stuff we did inside sia... haaa!! also was fun to see my other frenz from army and sch ard at rag too.. nus rocks!!
sadly we did not manage to see the entire performance as we had to hid behind the floats after we moved into position... its the sacrifice we had ba... all of us didnt get to see a single performance.. sadded.. but it was a proud moment when fac of sci won the best float and float design awards.. so we felt proud though we just moved the bulky floats that we did our part! =D was very sad after that though.. as we did not win the most prestigious award, the chancellor shield.. somemore lost to bizad again.. was damn dissapointed and sad and if i was one of the seniors i bet i would have cried... haiz... i still cant come to terms how they won...
after that was about to get the sp gift from our backstage tentage when she told me that was hard to meet up so meet up in school instead.. haha... sad-ed... brought it to school on friday thinking can pass to her... but even after rag on sat also havent pass to her... been carrying it ard so many times im kinda scared it might get damaged.. =\\ after that headed on with my og for dinner at marina sq before heading home... gave PICE 2 a miss as i was really tired, lack of sleep and partially depressed about losing to bizad too...
and so SoW 07 has officially ended and tml lectures and tutorials will finally start.. kinda worried of myself as the other guys in my ogs seem so much more well read plus the gals are stil quite fresh in studies since they grad last year... hope i dont lose out to them!!! gambatte!!

one thing about orientation week in NUS... time REALLY flies.. on the 7th the whole of NUS went out for flag day... most of the public would notice a distinct PINKISH PURPLE bunch of people out at bus interchanges, mrt etc to flag.. my og was assigned to woodlands where we did most of our flagging.. we also headed on to admiralty to look for greener pastures..
personally its quite demoralising as i thought my days of flagging and being objects of scrutiny by the general public is over.. but many times i find myself holding back my frustration at how f*** up some people are.. people who donate with their faces black.. people who donate to get the flag so they dont have to donate anymore... my worst experience was this old hag when i approached her and ask kindly she scolded me saying 'i sell you my flag lar!!' then she purposely dug out her wallet and pointed the flag at me with that 'happy now?' look... hope she gets knocked down by a car and become one of those who NEED such donations... some people just forget what the whole purpose of this is for.. they just see them as 'inconveniences', 'bugs to get rid of'... i really believe in karma.. and i sincerely hope they get it in their lives.. BAD ONES especially..
ended about 4pm and i headed home to wash up cum do some cors bidding.. since i had extra time i then went for a 4km run to slowly build up towards run NUS, the 10km run on 18th august.. maybe its from all the standing all day but though it was about a month since i last ran i still managed to keep to my running pace as before.. though the last 100min sprint was total agony... grrr.... though i aint particularly fighting for positions in the compeitive race.. its all about personal satisfaction for me...
after that i headed to plaza singapura to get the present for the sp.. after those 3 days of shopping its hard to find the perfect gift.. but i managed to get it.. hopefully a good mix of aesthetics and praticality.. then i went back to school to meet up with the rest of my og to plan for the talent night as well as chat alittle.. but the fatigue of the 4km run crept in and i slept earlier.. (oh i forgot to bring my sleeping bag.. so my back still hurts now.. >.<)
the next day we headed to sentosa for more station games.. the first few games were pretty boring and the og didnt seem that enthu at first.. but as we build up the energy and fun i actually had a good time playing the games and tossing people into the water.. haha.. only prob is now i got a singlet tan mark again.. applied losta aloe vera gel hoping that it wont peel!! >.< after that went back to school again and changed for the SP event...
it'll be a lie to say i wasn't abit disappointed that my sp wasnt able to attend.. felt alittle awkward as the rest were all chatting with their sps and i was just sitting by myself or listening to their conversations.. haha.. had a pathetic 'sP dinner' sitting down on the floor talking to each other.. after that we went to great world city to watch rush hour 3.. later on, wan ting, one of the ladies whose sp didnt come was forced to watch with me.. haha.. poor gal... but well the movie was quite hilarious and after that my og peepz went off for supper at zion riverside market before heading home...
even a bigger predicament was awaiting for me at home when i found out i was outbidded for my SP1202 module.. i was hoping to be a nice guy and stay my bid as 1point so that the 5 out of 5 bidders upon vacancies will enjoy the module for just 1 point.. but just after close bidding one ******** had to come in and bid... so had 6 bidders and 5 vacancies.. and i was happily outbidded.. min successful bid was 50 poinst... felt like an idiot... why do i always strive to be a good guy.. or mr nice guy.. only to find myself getting screwed over all the time... i really feel like an idiot..

whee! today is my 'first'day in nus... well its officially the week 0 of nus... met at LT32 early in the morning at 7.45am before heading over to the university cultural hall.. wasnt a particularly grand event as described by my seniors.. had a few performances by a average band, an achipelago and event jasmine thye (the singapore idol 2nd runner up) boy she is FAT! hahaa.. had fun taking photos of all the shuave and pretty gals in formal attire.. 1st time this formal.. the next one will be graduation!! whe!!

after that we went back to LT32 where we had plenty of waiting again... haiz... this time i brought my lappy so i could play coh which i just installed last night!! woohoo!! the graphics engine really one grade diff from my desktop... muhaha... can train up for the expansion coming out end of the year!! they also had another prep talk for flag and rag followed by advertising by the nus sports club for run nus which i already signed up for.. felt the 4km run too short so i joined the 10km COMPETITIVE run.. haha very paisey... come in last.. but i rather push my limits more!! woohoo!!

they also had another lecture by this company called herbalife that was selling nutrional dieting programs... felt really identical to my plight.. from my regular training in canoeing then army followed by my slacking lifestyle of today.. i have gained considerable fat.. in fact they had a free fat percentage check that i was at 19.9%.. it was under generally bad.. loLX.. omG!! muscle mass and water mass was ok though.. haiz... it really sucks to see myself in this state... its not like i dont train but i have to train just as hard as my canoeing days.. its just so tough... but all my peers see is that tummy for them to make fun of.... its so depressing...
later on we proceeded for our long awaited OG outing! haha went to marina sq to eat swensons.. they had alot of new menu and we also had the chance to flash our matriculation card with pride to enjoy student promotion!! woohoo!! (oh btw i already got the 500 additional free sms for my starhub plan!!) muhahaha prepare for more smses from me!! hehz.. after that sumptous meal we went ahead to shop where the whole og save myself and doreen still havent gotten any presents for our sp... its kinda funny seeing how 'anything' they are in selecting the gifts that make me wonder how come i am working so hard to find the 'perfect gift' but well at least i narrowed down my options already most probably will get a simple useful thing for her.. hahaa... well it took me 3days of shopping to decide wor!!! hahaa the thought really counts lor!! =D

later on we went to the arcade to play pool and arcade.. was surprised that the whole gang of ladies save for huiling.. seemingly the 'pro' there i was teaching all of them how to play pool.. hahaa like some shi fu lidat.. but kinda funny coz i guide them they can score better than myself.. lolx... difference between know HOW to play and HOW to play WELL is different! hahaa.. was quite fun though... we dispersed later on coz tml is flag day!!

whooo time is starting to pass really fast already manz... just got back from SoW yesterday afternoon after 4D3N of stayover for my science orientation week.. was a fun filled event save for the long waits we had to endure many times between the activities... plus 1 whole day practically wasted for the cors bidding.... but still it was really fun though i found myself conflicting within - youth (to shout aloud and go crazy) and solemn (just do the bare mininum to have fun)..
hmm 1st day we did ice breakers to get to know the og better.. didnt know anyone in my og and in sci fac as a whole too save for ben ooi, chai, jake and murugaraj in other ogs.. my og had 5guys 10 gals and i found it easier to converse with the guys as not all the gals seem that talkative at first.. haha.. later on we played station games that got me all muddy and all.. but was really fun~~ yeahh~~!

at night we had the secret pal (sP) thing that we were blindfolded and brought to a place to talk to a person of the other gender... was kinda apprehensive at first as i dont find myself a good conversationalist... most probably will bore the opposite party esp if we are strangers.. thankfully my sp was quite talkative too so it wasn't like a one-sided conversation initiated by myself that i pictured.. found out that she was from tpjc and other things like her hobbies, places of travel and fav colours~~ etc etc~ chatted for 45min (longest ever conversation i had) before we headed back to tutorial room to sleep..
the air con was like switched off after a certain timing so no choice must open window and sleep in our sleeping bags on the floor... the 2nd day we went for an amazing race out of school to chinatown, redhill etc for a food hunt 'shi zi lu kuo' to join words to eat food too... was quite fun too as i nv thought its possible to do in singapore's context.. =D also did cors briefing and mass dance!!

3rd day we spent alot of time doing the corrs bidding plus the library talk.. i only bid for gen physio and luckily got in.. plus my 3 pre-allocated module i only have 1 left module to worry about in the future bidding rounds.. was thinking of trying to bid for SS modules but gotta compete with the seniors so i might have to bid for something else instead.. at night the so called 'family day' ended up to be a fright night.. i gotta admit the haunted house was really well done.. haha the actors were scary lorr... but we went in threes so not so bad.. was the only guy so was leading the way.. >.<

on the last day we had a talk followed by another mass dance revision before we did war games.. was quite violent but was fun with the water balls and the 'rubgy'ing.. haha i was grabbed from the back and flung away like a fly lor!! hahaa... sadded.. then i drop my oakley specs and my heart dropped lor.. luckily no one stepped on it and its alright.. phew.. otherwise end up i everyday wear contact lense le.. =\ after that had lunch at mac with my og before i went back to bathe before went to ps..

the canoes went to watch simpsons so i did some shopping at ps.. spent about 3hrs looking ard for a suitable gift for the sp.. didnt wanna get something too cliche and trying to find something useful.. but it was tough finding something useful that would suit her preferences.. the budget is set about $5 so i'll try to find something about $15.. later on met up with the canoes and long time no see monica! went to starbucks to chill and had a fun time chatting and playing lame games.. haha..
today spent most of the day catching up with sleep (14hrs to be exact) before going to parkway parade with my parents to continue shopping for sp gift.. narrowed down a few but not entirely satisfied so i guess i have to look around more.. with female advice too~~ haha.. later on went to east coast park food court for a sumptous dinner before taking a walk down the beach.. had a nice chat with my parents about uni and all too...
alrighty tml going to nus for the freshman inauguration ceremony!! followed by an og outing~~ hahaa... must bring extra clothes lor.. headache.. bringing my lappy to bid tml too... grr... my bag is gonna be heavy.. hopefully got time tml to continue shopping for the sp present.. haha... its even tougher than buying for frenz you know!! =P oh well.. its the thought that counts i always say~~
