oh manz.. coz of the wet weather that persisted since morning till mid afternoon, ange cancelled the ubin trip just as i was about to leave my house... my bag was all packed with extra clothes, zip locked bags umbrella and water.. loLx... luckily i left late... was thinking of leaving early... phew.. but the outing wasnt totally cancelled...
ange proposed to go to this place called the settler's cafe instead in the afternoon... not knowing whats that i curiously agreed.. then tihs time i was out of house when she smsed this time saying that the place is fully booked and asked should we meet at 5.30pm instead.. hahaz.. not wanting to go home and waste time again i just asked if we could just stick to the 2pm meeting and see what we can do lorz...
i was at clarke quay station first to see no one.. and i was there at 2.01pm.. loLX... went ard the station looking for peepz and when i returned just nice stumbled in derrick, wenlong and hy... was really surprised to see derrick and wenlong.. been almost more than a year since i saw them... later on ange, vincent, kai jie and laibun... looking for some chinese tea.. we unknowing followed the ladies lead to chinatown... after asking the heritage centre we found ourselves at yum cha... teapot pic mah.. so i thought just tea.. lolx..
end up was HIGH tea.. loLx.. was serving dim sum.. then my hunger struck.. =D~~ i'm a sucker for dim sum manz... just love it!! they came quite aggressively at first almost like throwing dishes at us.. the guys were abit stunned and hesitated as it maybe really ex.. but well.. i found myself again the one keenly ordering instead of it turning into a awkward time when everyone wanna leave instead... hahaz.. soon i found myself picking dishes and the guys just following.. had alot of fun chatting and all.. then came the usual jokes that i should be treating as i was earning the most amongst them as an officer... man.. being an officer isnt a good thing afterall sobZ...
thE dim sum rocKs man... the only lousy one was the xiao long bao~~!
but well feeling in the mood i agreed to treat $50 bucks since its the only amount i could fork out considering the rest of my pay was placed in a 'do-not-touch' saving accounts... shortly after chong beng came along too~~ hahaz.. cooL man.. long time no see... later on hy left for a date at bishan? hahaz.. so we continued wandering ard the cityhall, chinatown area till 5.30pm when our reservation at settler's cafe was due.. finally settled down.. ordered the set dinners and we started playing the highlight of the cafe~!
highlight you say? hahaz.. it brings out board games to play.. similar concept as the coconut grove or something lidat at kovan.. just that this one is seriously ALOT of board and card games.. the payment was just as qim too!! hahaz.. luckily ange's fren.. apparently another schoolmate from SRJC intro us to the deals and even let us use her membership card for discount.. looks familar enough to me but no idea who she is.. loLx.. anyways we played on with PIT!(something like heart attack) Pictionary(i enjoyed this the most!!) and Citadels(a game where you murder and rob each other.. FOR FUN!!) hahaz.. was a refreshingly fun time.. maybe i should ask my frenz to come my house or someone's house just to play monopoly or uno.. hahaz... good way to chill out~~

derrick was the last one that came... the rest all couldnt make it.. some were busy with army stuff... exercises.... hancheng went overseas? iain couldnt attend coz of his commando officer fren who passed away recently.. bq and kelvin guess they weren't too interested ba.. hahaz.. pity....
waited till like 4.30pm lidat before went to rent bike.. leonard had alot of frenz.. almost like 10 of them.. somemore all look so much older than me.. some like married and all... 27-28 that kinda age lidat.. felt kinda awkward being the only young guy there.. =\ later leonard and his frenz went blading while derrick and myself went cycling to bedok jetty there.. feels great to cycle again.. miss the feeling.. maybe i should just get a bicycle again.. just that phobia that it may be stolen again.. strike 3? >.<
after an hour of cycling i dashed back at full speed so as not to get extra charges.. loLx.. shiok lar.. charge like siao from the jetty back... passed by quite a few places i been to during separate occasions.. like the food court where we had bbq food with jm laysee lawrence etc.. or the recent bbQ with the junioRs.. costa sands chalet with canoes.. hahaz.. brings back memories.. been such a long time since i been there.. when i returned the bike i met weiyang and his gf.. loLx.. used to suan him so much... first time see him with gf.. tsk tsk... being too bright a lightbulb i decided to fade away quickly.. hEhz..
coz everyone had different plans dinner at marina south was kinda scrapped... was feeling abit sianz so think just go home ba.. then derrick said wanted to go esplanade for dinner with his wife's family.. so thought of getting a cab there.. on the way out he decided to go upper cross street first to develop his honeymoon pictures... as i was at chinatown i thought of going to my gramps since its so close by anyways..
had the usual dinner and watched the jacky 8pm show.. that episode was kinda hilarious.. though didnt have the indian poker thing but the shi zi lu kou had alot of funny moments.. laugh until i pengz... next week's episode look even better.. muhAhahaz... must watcH!!!

wah just watched episode 12 of the anime and its still keeping me glued on it manz... sadly been reading websites abt it and seems like its gonna end on epi 16 or something~~ aRgh.. why all good anime always so short~~ hAiz.. been always wondering what melancholy actually meant.. but only today then i found out... man was i surprised...

its totally 360 degrees to what the anime shows... hahaz.. i have no idea if its meant as another opposite of the show or what... been wondering what really glues me on to this anime.. what got me started at first was the hilarious first episode i watched.. the thinkings of kyon (the male lead) and the hyper active haruhi.. gotta say character development of the characters arent as stuck to those other anime... be it harem, school life or slapstick... the story develops in a strange way but somehow it feels like the shows going to the right direction...
after episode 12 the inter character relationship adds on to the flavour of the show too.. bringing alot of questions that you could die to find the answer to.. like how mikuru fell in love with kyon? *her future version did say so* or how haruhi who never fell for a guy seems to progressively show small acts of affection for the seemingly irritated-but-interested-by-her kyon~~
loLX.. well if you read all this you'll probably be.. huh? wtf?? but so far its truly one of the best anime that compels me to come home regularly to check if its out yet so i can d/l immediately... moreover the epi 12 with that singing sensation really rocked manZ~~ cant wait for episode 13! or was it 4? hmmMz...

whoA... its been onE hElla 20th bdaE festival.. lOLx.. why festival? its like a 3 day event for mE loRz.. hahaz... well... this yeaR i kept my bdaE super loW proFile.. didnt organise anything.. diDnt teLL anyonE.. didnT eveN looK overjoyEd.. maybE coZ i was juST too tiRed to do anythinG.. anD also paRt of mE wanna sEe how it'll bE if i kept muM~~
funny thing was some sent me msgs even before the 16th.. the first came on the 14th? hahaz.. was surprised coz its like a overseas sms and like super long time nv keep in touch~ but well its the thought that counts.. the other msgs came along gradually.. with quite a few unexpected ones.. from sec sch frenz.. to old cadet frenz.. not forgetting the schoolmates classmates and canoeists~~ hahAz.. its just simple words in a barely 5cent msg.. but well.. its enough a present to me already~~ thanks pEepz!!
also my thanks go to laysee and co. and also ange and co. for asking me out for dinners on thursday and friday respectively.. felt like abit let them down coz i already had other plans.. but i'm a man of my word.. whenever i say i go means i go.. hahaz.. sorry abt that.. but its really nice to be in touch with them again.. maybe can go out dinner another time ba~~ =]
Day 1
friday was a course day like any other.. so in course cannot take off or leave.. so i was abit sianz lar.. coz normally bdae can go on off or leave... but thanks to my bud boon my coursemates prep a impromptu mini bdae bash for me.. was at the officers mess.. tk went out to buy back roasted duck chicken etc... (noTe: also to clear some debts.. myself included!! >.<) had a good feast followed by a bdae cake! hahaz.. my 1 and only 1 this year.. was really touched and surprised coz i barely know them for a week only yet the effort they put in is astounding.. 01/06 AOAC you guyS roCK!!
after the lessons ended at abt 5pm i went back home took a shower and chilled away before heading back to st gabs for our 2006 silver jubilee campfire!! hahaz.. wasnt a big a bash i hoped.. but was DEFINITELY better than last year.. maybe if you read the archives of the cf last year you'll understand why... (spoiLer: i waS maDe an impRompTu emCeE!!) wasnt fantastic but i was surprised by the huge turnout of alumni.. ben, beng, amos, kenneth, zhan hao, gabriel, fab all came along... later we even went to kovan wanting to eat hk 24hr food but long queue and ASTOUNDING prices.. so well.. we settled for mac.. watched abit of ivory coast vs holland.. hahaz.. too bad ivory didnt win~~ SobZ..

Day 2
got homE like at 3am? hahaz.. then concussed till dunnoe what time siaz.. left home to meet the canoes for supposedly high tea? hahaz.. supposedly was the word.. but well the food doesnt matter.. the company does! =] driven by the thought of catching a movie, mon lh pok weiliang daren lk and myself went to lido to check the timings.. all the guys agreed on silent hill.. but mon didnt wanna watch.. being gentlecanoes we decided to watch cars then~~
later we went to crystal jade la mian xiao NONG bao.. loLx.. thats what they say i said.. hMmz.. they seem pretty regular there so i was really thinking how they get the money.. loLx.. i just ordered 1x xiao NONG bao at $3.60.. somehow it turnt to $5 lidat.. loLx.. GsT and sVc suX man!! loLx.. later went to atm then was shocked.. now left $2.23~~ haha.. i'm soooOOoO dEad!! somemore they seem pretty pressed on my treat i promised them.. hahaz.. luckily not all of them came so can give excuse say not everyone here.. *couGhs eXcusEs coughS*
later lh join us then i realised our canoe gals really jia lat le manz.. lOLx.. mon really put some kgs.. then lh skin colour funny one.. loLx.. think they need to go canoe again man!! hahaz.. later they read sure kilL me one.. hahaz.. pok also claim he fat but looks ok lar.. like me lidat.. just tuck out shirt then cannot see my fats le~~ muHahahaaz~~ later went in to catch cars.. was a pretty nice show.. though i expected it to be cliche like the other pixar movies.. abt love, friendship, perseverance and all those good in the world.. but yet again the delivery was surprisingly fresh.. so i really enjoyed the show~~

DaY 3
today iS s4 timE~~ hahaz.. whole morning and afternoon was sleeping and playing games before meeting dong at sk mrt then fabby at serangoon and off we went to suntec for dinner~~ kl did ask the class and rs asked the ladies too but well.. i guess father's day takes priority~ the only prob is my dad is in genting noW!! hahaz..
met chia hong and ys there.. went to fountain of wealth.. went ard it looking for food and hoping money fell from the fountain... but well after much deliberation we decided to go for sizzler since it was soooOOoo gooD~! hEhez.. was expensive.. being "FATHER'S DAY SPECIAL MENU".. at least $25.. but well we got the meals then we dug into the salad bar.. the salad is really the BEST in the world no matter how many times i eat manZ~~ hahaz..
the only prob it was soo good i kept going at it till i felt like i have a kid! loLx.. nine months maybE~~ oh manz.. its teRriblE~~~ now i understand how woman feel.. hahaz.. after the fabulous meal as i was recovering from a hangover (from eating) they were debating on how to spread the cost.. hahaz.. abit ugly and bo seh lar.. but the thought really counts.. thanks bro~~ they treat me and fab the dinner~~ thanks aloT!!

wah today ended at 4.30pm lidat.. so sianz everyone going out so i decided to go home too.. actually asked fabby in the morning wanna meet up for dinner coz today his bdae mahz.. but he say got duty or something.. but on my way out say can meet up le.. so we met at causeway point for dinner loRz..
reached early and was wandering ard.. still the fridge still at $199 leiz... GsS also no effect... when it struck me that i could try amk or those old estates.. too bad today not tuesday otherwise can buy school rumble manga #12 le.. hEhz.. cant wait to buy it tml~~
was waiting so went for recce~~ *hahaz too military le* so went ard looking at where nice to eat.. so was down to jack's place or crystal jade kitchen.. nv eat at crystal jade kitchen before so went to check out lorz.. got a $38 set meal for 2 got bbq meat + specialty + hot and spicy soup + bean paste steamed garoupa + desert.. wah.. got me drooling so cannot resist.. must try! loLx...
so we ordered the meal lorz.. was really sumptous man.. was worried at first when the bbq combi was abit small.. char siew and roasted pork.. but was nice.. then came the chicken in dry chili... thought the fish also will be as small.. but was bigger than i expected.. maybe a medium size? but it really made me very full and satisfied.. loLx.. nothing much of a big cerebration for fabby coz working day mahz.. but at least we went for some different dinner ba? hahaz...

hahaz.. today and yesterday stay at home play games sia.. playing rise of legends.. not as fun as i hoped.. but just playing to see how the story turns out.. hEhz.. also coz my com cannot play heroes 5... damn... maybe i'll get a graphics card next week.. muhAhahaz...
just now went for dinner with my family.. now 5 people le wor.. coz got da sao.. hahaz.. cannot take cab anymore... SobZ.. went to hougang green for zi ca.. had very sumptous dinner.. steamed fish.. kang kong.. frog meat.. *dRoOls* hungry again man!! hahaz.. was so called our family cerebration for my birthday.. pretty low profile and was like any other meals we had with my family.. but i guess the fact that its meant to cerebrate my birthday was enough to make me happy? hahaz... weiRd eh?
now going to book in soon le.. think next weekend will be very packed.. having my st gabs campfire on the same day as my birthday... will sure go.. but maybe later go out with my class for pubbing? hahaz.. but i worried i get raped in st gabs.. >.< then cant walk straight le.. its a guys thing ar.. i also dunnoe why~~ *shRugs* and mon say sat on 17th going for high tea or something.. i agreed but i forgot i also asked my platoon out for dinner that night at marina... *headachE* manz.. should i squeeze both events together? see first ba..

wah... the outfield totally s**ked man!! freaking lousy exercise... waste of 4d3n.... probably you guys wont feel it.. but it kept raining and raining... with VERY hot sunny intervals... freaking got heat rash by 3rd day... manz... was dying of itch manz....
took a very long time of waiting due to the higher ups.. doing all their coordination and all... so we were 'resting' as we waited.. but thanks to the weather and discomfort.. i was totally drained from waiting... was dying for action....
when the first mission finally begun.. it was totally out of plan.. then i made some mistakes in command and control when i realised how long i havent lead a platoon in a full infantry attack... with a live enemy it was even harder in the dark... haiz.. gotta buck up man!!!
the 2nd mission was the sianz one.. before it came they gave us ice cream and curry puffs outfield.. was enjoying it when i realised this always happens before they throw us some sh*t.. loLx.. sure enough we receive last min orders to move out past midnight for an infantry attack.. i was point and bashing thru the forest.. it was like 3am so it was damn dark.. couldnt find a track and thus went thru virgin forest.. little would i know i'll fall into a well!! manz... damn suay lar.. no time to react.. just went straight in!!
it was like chest height water and the well needed me to stretch my hands all the way to touch the tip.. but when i fell in i was already really tired struggling to cut down very irritating and extensive vegetation that kept tangling me up.. so i couldnt muster the strength to get up.. lucky my guys pulled me up when i felt a sharp pain below my right knee... when i knelt the pain was terrible.. but i still went on and bashed despite the sharp pain.. many times i had to stop for the coy to catch up thru the poor lighting..
when we finally reach the objective after extensive combing it was empty... haiz... what siaz.. after that also a long wait before finally moving in vehicles.. only to be backstabbed.. the timing was too right already manz.. besides if the enemy can come from our rear our overall plan and intel must be terrible manz.. all my vehicles were destroyed lar.. even got a sarcastic comment from him.. thanks lar!! used to it le lar.. keeps saying those kinda things used to put me down.. now i smart le.. one ear in.. one ear out.. f*** it
then after coming back and cleaning up on thursday slept at 1am before going to gedong for my course at 6am.. did tank lessons and driving all in one day... was pretty fun driving the tank.. esp after a long time since i drove the apc.. got home then concussed since..
one thing i realised during those long waiting times was why i missed my schooling days so much.. compared to the days in the army.. back in school i had something to look forward to all the time... i also had a strong canoeist team.. i believed in the passion for the sport and so i lead them with conviction.. every training i put my mind to give 100% and no less... every trg was really really my best... but since i came to the army.. theres so many things i dislike and do not believe in.. yet i lead my men to believe in something i dont believe in.. whatever 100% we do.. all we do is to give those higher ups faster promotions.. our self gain is so limited.. there was no passion.. no desire in the army.. that i finally understood why i didnt sign on... im a person who cant do something for the sake of doing it.. i'll find what i wan and believe in doing.. then i will do it...

hahaz.. june finally here le.. but the GSS aint as hot as i hoped manz... =\ anyways this week been pretty tiring.. did duties for wed and friday... thursday can consider half day coz stand in for eli.. friday was coz sub cai hua for his birthday... =\too bad mine wont be able to take off or leave even if i wanted to.. haiz..
the week been totally unexpected.. the long awaited assessment did not take place due to unforseen circumstances.. some think of it as a unlucky thing others felt happy.. for myself i was quite dulled by it.. coz having to go thru all that practice again is enough to really kill me... haiz... but well this week didnt all go into the drain.. after much psychoing myself to psyche up, i finally cleared my soc on tuesday.. 8.45min.. not bad lar.. at least better than my personal best of 8.59min before.. hahaz.. all thanks to cai hua, cpt dung and my runner for pushing me along the way.. finally join the other officers on the bench.. =]
even though the assessment was postphoned, we didnt really have a chance for a breather as we prepared for our next exercise.. really back to back stuff i must say.. it was so tight i wondered what would have happened if we did take the assessment? i think i'll still be in camp preparing for the subsequent exercise.. *shivers* but well after duty i came home this morning.. chilled alittle before going to suntec with wx and ys to check out the it show.. nothing really caught my attention lest the desktop ram and graphics card... think must seriously consider to get one on my next payday... as a reward for myself~ loLx
last week i asked my mom to frame up my commissioning letter for me in a wooden frame so look nice ma.. little did i expect her to actually mount it on a golden plaque.. its like they laser the cert into a block of gold... looks really really nice.. like those they make out of their degrees/honours/phd... hahaz.. now is a new accessory in my room... she says its my birthday present.. loLx.. always the first.. love my mom and dad!! =]
