been a week back in ocs.. and i gotta say its almost like the longest week we've had for a long long time... spent our time in charlie wing, and attended lotsa lectures from the history of WW2 to coping with problematic soldiers.. gotta say armour is kinda like suppressed there.. maybe coz we're the only special formation other than commandoes that can wear their formation beret to parade...
when we went for visits, we always were the last ones to board the bus.. even though we're designated bus 5... e.g: we'll wait till bus 1-10 board le.. then left the last bus that is late then we take.. rushing back, barely enough time to eat and rush to next lesson.. even instructors seem to show their dislike for armour...
but nonetheless i feel really proud to be from armour.. hahaz.. during one of the talks, i realised that we armour learn more advanced ops then our infantry counterparts that the quick deployment seemed like what we do while they can only try to imagine how it'll be like... they have the tendency to take a long time on deciding things, while we always see ways that we can make simple administrative instructions shorter and faster... what can we say.. we're just swift and decisive!!
yesterday was our very first parade rehearsal.. wasnt as tough as i figured.. but the marching on the spot was the xiong part.. after that was all rifle drills.. was basking in the sun and got quite a tan actually somemore.. with a tanline on my forehead.. hahaz.. booked out in the afternoon and went home... left to fabians house b4 going back to st gabriels for their campfire...
was pretty dissapointed with the preparations and overall show of the campfire.. like alot of things weren't done.. like no standby fire, NO EMCEE!! omg.. coz they didnt prepare an MC they just made me one all of a sudden.. luckily only small cf.. 3 school nia.. got 1 girl guide school pang sey the campfire.. lying b*tches.. but though i didnt have any confidence i gotta say i started off pretty well.. but well my counterpart went abit overboard being lame and all and it brought down the mood alot.. and i didnt have the heart to cut him off... haiz.. in the end it ended up poorly.. just becoz we impromptu mcs had no idea how to sing the songs.. haiz..
felt like i wanted to go back and volunteer to be the chairman for next year's campfire as it marked a very special year.. heard this year was like that becoz the original chairperson backed out halfway through and had to be postphoned and also poorly planned... but i felt restricted as i already have committments in my jc canoeing, army life as well.. and if i did scouts as well i probably had no time for myself..
but last night was fun becoz of my batch... its been another year since we met but the scout mates i have are no different from 3 years back.. hahaz.. the same lame jokes, the same enthusiasm, the same vulgarities.. it really felt heartwarming to meet up with them again.. benjamin, sun tian, jeffrey, murugaraj, fabian and zhen hao.. nowadays i understand why my dad used to always meet frenz on the road when out with me and my mom.. coz i've been crossing fates with many of my old frenz on places like the night rider back last night.. seeing junquan.. like seniors in australia on my exercise.. jeremy and joseph ho.. its really worth spending time and catching up with these great frenz manz..

arh... long weekend finally coming to a close.. not that i want it to end though... =p kinda losing myself in the reverly of a civilian life again.. just yesterday i went to canoe at macritchie with the alumni.. namely the newly graduated J2s, cyril and chris.. manz.. i was totally weak at it manz.. cant believe i used to be a canoeist.. soBZ...
pride is there.. but performance was disappointing.. been 6 months since i canoe... wonder if i can keep up the motivation to canoe.. been really lazy of late.. =p later on went J8 did abit of groceries for the remaining weeks in ocs... been home playing games and watching anime all day long...
just watched the rock just now.. an old show about VX rockets, starring sean connery and nicholas cage.. wonder if you guys ever watched it? remember the epic green flares? most guys will be familar with the theme song though... really powerful orchestra... been trying to get that audio.. but cant seem to find it on the net.. anyone got any links?
bTw.. my tagboard is screwed again... haiz... trying to install a new one.. do post in it yupZ!!

phew... just played NEed for speed: moSt wanted just now.. hahaz.. bought it yesterday along with Half Life 2... =] been spending alot on games of late.. bleahs.. spent 1 months pay le... hard to control with so many cool games out.. hahaz..
yesterday went to camp to settle the remaining stores i owe them... what was supposed to be a drop, sign and leave turnt out into charity when i was volunteered to help clean up the magazines... ugh.. end up leaving much later.. kinda sad that we always push to book out early but then always unfinished business need some poor souls to clean up for them...
went out to orchard after a 2 months absence and watched harry potter with my coursemates at cine till 1am... was nostalgic walking down orchard road at those hours of the day again.. hahaz... all those memories...
went back to safti today at 3.30pm to take over our bunks at charlie wing... met up with alot of old frenz there.. nigel, fang yuan, ashraf, jun ming, daniel... hahaz.. sure feels good to see them again.... but thankfully wsm was really good mood today... after showing him we learnt the songs he let us book out and cancelled tml's breakfast and lunch.. hehz... long weekend!! olEH!!

hehZ... woke up alittle early today to zua kingdom under fire... finally got my hand onto the ecclesian hero, which i thought s*cked originally but turned out pretty powerful.. hahaz.. but blardie hell my com pang seh me again... think i mentioned b4.. its now like the 10th time it happened when i left the com on overnight and hangs... afterwhich it cannot be booted... uGH!! i so wanna buy a new com and be rid of it!!
left at 10 for beach road to cool myself down as well as get stuff... oh yah i just cut my hair yesterday.. so was kinda funny to see myself in a different light from yesterday.. >.< anyways went there bought some accessories and the thing i needed badly.. hEhz.. found it after some difficulty at $120... reconsidered then approached again for $110.. then the shopkeeper cannot find a new one.. so sold me a 2nd hand at $70... phew.. just what i needed.. hahaz.. thank god...
also bought a diver's torch as well as stumbled upon a really nice sword case at $280.. may consider coming back to buy it after i get my sword.. hehz... just finished a chop chop project on managing soldiers.. its hard to do one diplomatically as if i was really honest i think the senior commanders who may stumble upon my project may charge me for slander.. =p

PHEW... yesterday went to merchant court with about 20 guys from my course for dinner.. was a really nice place with good food and all.. maybe if my class doesnt mind the price we could go there next time.. was $29.80++ for dinner.. had oysters, half scallops, sharks fin, fried ice cream, sashimi, burbur terigu, fried rice, crayfish, losta meat, chocolate marshmallow, great deserts and top class durian paste.. it was so good i couldnt really control myself.. felt terrible after though.. >.<
later went to daniel's place for a night of XboX gaming.. hahaz.. kinda nice to play with a group... stayed over and came home today just to compensate my sleep.. oh~ i went to sim lim yesterday after rushing home from the arty lesson at khatib camp.. finally managed to read call of duty 2.. but guess what? my vid card cannot support the dynamic textures, so back i am at square one.. doh! after much deliberation i settled with my bro to get a new com in due time, instead of upgrading the vid card + motherboard... so i guess i wont be able to play CoD2 for the next few months? haiz.. to think i bought it original.. my 3nd pc game i bought original (WC3 => WC3 FT =>CoD2)
later should be meeting up my section mates for our learning project.. been rehearsing the procedures for monday's armour cert presentation, cant make myself look ugly.. >.< cant wait to get my hands on my sword!! hehZ.. just now met alvin too to get my game back... was astonished by how much he changed, joining the soka(cant remember how to spell) and being much more thinking abt life... though i agreed with him much, i recall many times in life i was approached to join organizations, though sometimes it turnt out really beneficial, thru them i found that i worked best with myself to decide.. i found that little bit of heaven i want to make for myself and i prefer to do it my way.. hahaz.. maybe its just me.. simple dreams.. easily happy by small things in life like hanging out with frenz... i guess i'll just stay the way i am hmm? =]
kkz lar.. these few days been messaging my frenz.. encouraging them especially those in uni and jc having major exams.. coz i remembered during exam periods i felt pretty lonely and all.. thought it could keep them going.. hEhz.. also finally transferred the pictures from aussie to my com.. uploaded some to frenzter and to this entry... of to go play ff7 before the online meeting.. heHz.. chiLL!!

hey mates!! hahaz.. im back~~ just got back onto singapore at 1300 today... finished a 26 days exercise in australia for armour ops... its a really nice training area.. losta flat ground.. close terrain to bash thru... kangaroos and emus sightings... cool nights... scorching days... lots of sand and sand...
i was part of the advance party that reached there 2 adys earlier to settle the accomodation in the form of tentages and safari beds for the main body.. as well as taking over the vehicles at a 'open concept' vehicle park about 1km away from our tentage... *yeah you can guess how it feels for a vehicle OIC.. =]* did losta fatigues till the main body came..
then we went outfield for battlecourses and live firing.. was pretty cool esp tact team live firing with the sm1 tanks firing but 10m beside myself.. spraying HMG rounds as advancing.. walking the rounds to the target.. open spaces for as long as the eye can see... its all things that singapore cant give..
had a break in between.. went back to camp for canteen breaks.. (expensive but nice stuff) MPX.. watched a movie outfield using a projector, had fried rice for deepavali... had our full troop exercise spanning all over the training area.. accumulating hundreds of miles travelled... fought our first advance and delay battles that lasted for 6-8hours of fighting...
my appointment was the last delay mission as tact tm 2 commander.. had a really fun time utilising the terrain to my advantage, experiencing combat stress but executing swift and decisive manoeurves that did well to put the enemy at hold.. was one of my most successful and accomplished missions i led... such felt great...
R&R sucked becoz the town was so boring... even the guides at the heritage centre and cultural centres seemed bored to death.. did losta shopping and bought myself a billabong bag.. hehz.. though alot of ppl say ex i cant be bothered.. i like it.. thats all i need to know at this juncture yup?? hahaz..
today morning woke at 0315 to check out the motels b4 breakfast and taking the flight back to singapore at about 0740.. it was there when our WSM gaved us the forms to fill for sword of merit(SOM), sword of honour and best knowledge and pt.. though rumours were rampant, ranging from ppl thinking i was the SOH to myself being the best AI.. it was finally revealed that the SOH was a tankee, the best pT also cliching the best AI.. and myself cliching the SOM.. placing myself among the top 5 guys in our cohort.. really happy coz all my efforts payed off and cant wait to get that special sword that my parents can barely wait to see either.. =]
kkz lar.. pretty tired.. if i gonna recall everything i might as well write a novel.. there were frustrating times, sad times, joyous times and all.. summing up to a great experience in wallaby... but still nothing beats home.. being able to ask my frenz 'how have you been' is enough to warm my heart... wanna learn more abt my trip can ask me out for dinner or something yup? hahaz.. be uploading the pics in due time.. see yA!
